Shinigami Biography (Bleach)

Being a Shinigami:

Shinigami are the good guys maintaining the balance between human world and soul society. They lead lost soul back to Soul Society and cleanse the evil one, known as Hollow.

So how to become one?

Well, first step is to die. Yes, this is the job to die for, literally. They you need to enter the prestigious Shinigami Academy. You wouldn’t have hard time finding it since it’s the only one there is. Of course, not anyone can enter it. One has to have potential in using Spiritual Energy and prove his worthiness by using it.

The curriculum takes six years to complete and that includes combat training for fighting hollows, proper usage of Spiritual energy and performing Soul Burials. These six years is tantamount to eternity of hardship. They will present high endurance training and trainers don’t care if you bleed for it. Only the toughest make the cut.

Upon learning the preliminary abilities, the swordmanship training follows. This will distinguish a shinigami from another one. Each shinigami has unique zanpakuto and not all can attain it. Harder training and mre pain is required to achieve it. After finishing the curriculum, each one will be distributed to a certain division or squad to continue training.

Sounds very hard but if you’re dead already, why not give it a try, right?
