Mokona Modoki is a cuddly creature that is a cross between a manjuu-bun and a rabbit. Mokona is a copy from its predecessor in Cephiro (Magic Knight Rayearth) created by Yuuko Ichihara and Clow Reed after meeting the original one and learning that Sakura and Syaoran will need them one day.
White Mokona’s real name is Soel. Among the two Mokona, Soel has a more perky and cheerful personality. Soel closely resembles the original Mokona with its red gem in the forehead and a matching red earring.
Soel helps Syaoran and the others to find the scattered memories of Sakura in its feather form. Among its helpful and astounding capabilities are: opening portals for traveling in different worlds, sensing Sakura’s feather, bridging language barriers and teleportation. The red gem in Soel’s right ear can also amplify magical powers.
Mokona is said to have 108 secret skills, which most of them humorously turns out to be common human ability like making friends, teasing, flirting, singing, drinking alcohol and acting.
