Suigintou 水銀燈 Biography (Rozen Maiden)

Suigintou, whose name literally translates to 'Mercury Lamp', is the 1st doll which Rozen made, and also an abandoned prototype which he gave up on to make other dolls. This makes Suigintou the Rozen Maiden with the most tragic past. Her gothic lolita costume is also my favourite one.

Fueled by her desire to gain Rozen's love the way he loves his other dolls; especially Shinku, Suigintou gained the ability to move and started hunting for Rozen.

After Souseiseki cut Suigintou in half in the midst of a round of the Alice Game, Rozen appeared to Suigintou in a shroud of holy light to bestow upon her a Rosa Mystica that officialize her as a Rozen Maiden. Her hatred for Shinku grew soon after when a bewildered Shinku denounced Suigintou as an incomplete doll. In response, Suigintou sprouted black wings of hatred to attack Shinku and developed her signature evil laughter.

Though originally the most immobile doll, Suigintou developed to become one of the strongest and devious dolls, defeating and absorbing Souseiseki's Rosa Mystica. Her kind nature can be seen when she is with her human medium, Megu, the sick suicidal girl.
