Kyoko’s wish to become a Puella Magi was to convince others to listen to her father’s preaching. However when her father found out, he went mad and killed the whole family. Because of her terrible past, she only used her magic for her selfish ways since then. Kyoko was always seen munching on snacks, even during battles. This habit caught on when she was young as she was born into a poor family and taught not to waste food.

Kyoko comes off as a self-centred and ferocious person but when she met Sayaka, she felt a special connection towards her. When Sayaka turned into a witch and dies, Kyoko was overcome with grief as she saw that Sayaka has mistakenly walked the same path as she did. Kyoko had tried to save Sayaka but to no avail. She ended up blowing both Sayaka and herself up in a suicide bomb. Ugh, they can’t stop removing my favourite characters from the show! She was one of my favourite too. However, their bodies disappeared after the explosion. Could there be a slight chance they are alive?
