This usually mild-mannered tennis player is best known for going into his split personality 'Burning Mode' self, which happens when he gets in contact with a tennis racket. Although he usually converses with his teammates in his native Japanese language, he will suddenly burst into a fountain of random aggressive and sometimes offensive English to unintentionally aggravate his opponents. His 1st word is usually 'Burning!!' when he touches his racket (thus 'Burning Mode'). Kawamura Takashi also displays an almost superhuman strength when he is playing tennis. As such, they call his style of play "Power Tennis". One wonders what will happen if he brings his racket into his nuptial bedroom...(Power Sex! -ahem- anyway...)

This 3rd year Seigaku Regular loves making sushi and helps out in his father's sushi store, intending to quit Tennis after High School to concentrate on being a sushi chef. And with that, he plays Tennis with abandon, not caring if he breaks his arm while engaging in power ball rallies with his opponents, just to get Seigaku into the Nationals.
