There’s a snake among Seigaku Tennis Club…
Kaido Kaoru is the right-handed counter puncher of Seigaku with a very fitting nickname, “Mamushi” or viper. He earns this name from the hissing sound he creates whenever he is annoyed.
Truth is, he looks annoyed most of the time and often scares young students away. He is a loner and aloof even to his fellow players. He is at times aggressive and hot headed. Good thing, he does listen to his captain, Kunimitsu Tezuka, who can rein him in before he gets in a fight.
He often plays Singles 3 but Coach Ryuzaki finds good use of him in Doubles, paired up with Sadaharu Inui. The team up is at first a bit awkward but works perfectly well in the latter part. Kaido managed to perfect his snake moves with the help of Inui’s training.
His famous counter attack moves are “Snake Shot” and “Boomerang Snake”.
