In Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ritsuko is NERV's head scientist and daughter of Naoko Akagi, the developer of the MAGI supercomputer. Her personality is best described as lonely, cool and intelligent. Rituko Akagi is someone with great affinity with cats and a strong dedication to her work. Additionally, she is a natural brunette who bleaches her hair. This means that she has wierd fasion sense.
As head scientist, she's involved in the repairs and preparations of Tokyo-3's defences against the Angels, particularly the Evas. Also, her coolness can be clearly seen when contrasted against Misato's hot-headness during battles. Her occasional jibes at Misato are a source of comic relief in the series.
