Background:
Misato Katsuragi is the field commander for Evangelion pilots and holds the rank Lieutenant Colonel in Nerv administration. She’s the first official Shinji Ikari met before entering NERV facility.
She has a daredevil attitude that might be from all the beer she gulps down. She looks very professional at work but is actually a total bum. Her house is cluttered with beer cans and instant noodle cups. Her house showed a great deal of improvement after she took Shinji in to live with her.
Misato is one of the survivors of Second Impact. Her late father stashed her in a protective capsule to save her life. Even with this, she holds a grudge against her father who puts work before his family.
She is very devoted with her work and sees herself as guardians of the three Eva pilots. However, reuniting with her past boyfriend, Ryoji Kaji opens her eyes on the ugly truth about NERV.
