The Deal with him: Umino Iruka is one of the first to acknowledge Uzumaki Naruto. Iruka relates to Naruto as he himself lost his parents in a young age and grew up trying to vie for attention. Initially failing Naruto in the Genin exams, Iruka later passed Naruto after the boy saved him from Mizuki (and celebrated over a bowl of ramen).
Umino Iruka has a mild kind hearted personality as docile as his name (which means dolphin), and is truly a new age sensitive ninja. He is also the first to be defeated by Naruto's devastating technique, the Sexy No Jutsu.
