Background:

Takara Miyuki is the model student of her grade level and classmate of Izumi Konata. She is very gifted with grace, intelligence and beauty. However, her round-rimmed spectacles cover almost half of her face.

She has exemplary grades and equally exemplary conduct. But, she finds it hard to psych up herself in wearing contacts (much less, to even get one). She has been spotted walking in circles in front of a contact lenses shop but ended up fainting before she even set foot inside.

Given her academic status, Miyuki enjoys light reading encyclopedia and promptly finishing her homeworks. She is often the main source of answer to all Konata’s endless queries about random matter.
