Background:

Kagami Hiiragi sure is feisty! Nose up in the air while taking on an aggressive pose of folded arms in her chest, she does give off a haughty message of hostility. But that only makes her a rather adorable antithesis of the goofy main character Konata Izumi.

She does have the right to look down on some of her classmate, even to her younger twin sister, since she has very good academic results. Formerly the class president, she takes studying ferociously serious. She likes teasing Konata for her chibi height and her tendency to sleep in class.

But this girl actually hides a rather melancholy personality which often surfaces whenever she is alone. She might let it show in a very peculiar way but she has deep attachment to Konata. Her most obvious gesture was accompanying her in a jam-packed auditorium for a manga convention and even go around to buy manga comics for her. Touching, eh?

For unknown reason, she always had a hard time getting in the same class as her sister and Konata. Even if she takes the same subject, she’ll be in a different classroom and can’t be with them. So she is a constant visitor in Konata’s classroom during lunch break.
