The Ring of the Mist is currently under the possession of Chrome Dokuro after defeating Mammon in the battle of Vongola Rings. Chrome only managed to win after Mukuro Rokudo possessed her body and fight Mammon. So Mukuro has been part owner of the ring through Chrome
The rings main attribute is construction that makes it a great weaver of illusions. The ring’s flame can create an illusion that doesn’t only trick the mind but even harm the physical body of its opponent. The ring's flame can hold the illusion as long as the ring guardian wants it.
Chrome being the owner of the ring uses its almost real creations in keeping herself alive. Mukuro takes care of her and makes illusionary body organs using the ring’s flame as replacement to those she lost from an accident.
