Background:

Xanxus is the leader of Vongola Family’s elite assassin group, The Varia but he wanted more than that… he wants to be the 10th leader of Vongola family. Well, he could have been if Tsuna, the legitimate heir to the title, comes out.

Xanxus is actually led all his life to believe that he will be the successor of Timoteo or Vongola IX since he is his son. Too bad though, the word “adopted” is soon place before the word son. To make it worst, only those with direct Vongola bloodline can be leaders.

But if you think that Xanxus is the type who would say “better luck next time”, you’re dead wrong. He’s mighty pissed with IX that he abducts him and replace it with a fake one to acknowledge him as the successor and sanction the Vongola Tournament. Nice plan eh?

But of course, that still didn’t change the fact that he doesn’t own a single drop of Vongola blood and thus the Vongola Ring of the Sky rejects him. That seems to wake him up and finally he gives up.
