Yzak Joule is most often seen wearing a scowl and getting ready to hurl angry words at everybody else. He has super ironed-straight grey hair which makes him look like an egyptian and he pilots the GAT-X102 Duel Gundam, one of the mobile suit gundams which his team stole from the Earth Alliance.
Yzak names the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam as his arch enemy after Kira Yamato who was piloting Strike delivered a humiliating blow unto Duel. He swore not to remove the scar on his face, which he acquired from the fight with Strike until Strike was defeated.
His best friend was comrade Dearka Elsman, and although he spends most of his time berating his other comrades, he has a much softer heart than his angry facade shows. Yzak secretly feels attached to his comrades as shown when Nicol Amalfi died and when he parted with Athrun Zala.
