Lacus Clyne is the daughter of the former chairman of PLANT and a member of the peace memorative committee. On top of that, she's a singer, celebrity and idol of the coordinators. She is bethrothed to Athrun Zala, the son of the current chairman of PLANT and a ZAFT Special Forces pilot, and who made her tons of bouncing Haros.
And so life goes well for the pink-haired princess until one day, the ship she was in got attacked and she got shipped out on a life boat and was saved by Kira Yamato in the Earth Mobile Suit Gundam, Strike. Sweet Lacus ended up on the Earth warship Archangel and was used as a hostage when the Archangel was under siege by Athrun Zala and gang. Kira, being a wholesome hero, delivers the equally wholesome Lacus back to Athrun and Lacus thus developed an ultra crush on Kira.
Later on, Kira got into a huge battle with Athrun, was wounded badly, and shipped to Lacus' house by a blind monk (using what ship and how he did that unobtrusively is beyond me). There, Lacus nursed Kira back to health and made him even more saintly. She helped Kira steal the Freedom Gundam from ZAFT, causing herself and her father to be a refugees.
When Lacus next met Kira on the Archangel, she confessed her love for him. And how can a guy reject a pretty pink-haired princess who gave up her singing career, her very big and beautiful house, her father, a bunch of screaming Haros and her super cool fiance for him? Thus Kira and Lacus lived happily ever after.
Until they were 18 and some things happened anyway.

I think Lacus is awesome! I mean, she coordinators and naturals to live in peace(like water and earth) and she helps out with stuff. For example: Peace-making speeches, giving Kira the FREEDOM and the STRIKE FREEDOM and METEORs, and being the Captain or whaterver of the ETERNAL. She is one kind,lovable, awesome person. Cagalli too!

I hate lacus clyne so much, with that all girly voice of hers and that fragile smile. She just pisses me off. She's so freaking girly. I'm more of a tom boy type. All her dresses are freaking pink. Even her hair is pink, how does she manage all that hair?!

Lacus is such a slut with all her revealing dresses and she's way to much like the perfect little anime girl. And ontop of being to damn perfect, she also has pink hair. Lacus is like the pretty princess who all the boys have crushes on, isn't that just asking to be killed??? I was disappointed when she didn't die in the series......

Ok all u lacus haters, juat want to make this clear, THIS IS ONLY A SHOW, and I don't think you'll find anyone as careing lacus in real life, so you have nothing to worry about. It's ture i think shes a bit too perfect too, but really, if she exsited and you were the one confussed and hurting she'd probably try her best to make you feel better. and i don't get how you guys think shes a girly girl...>< well mabey all that pink....hmm... Fllay did what she did. She took advantage of Kira's crush and turned him into a weapon. It backfired when he focused on becoming that weapon. She also fell for the boy. It became too much and he broke it off.
What if Fllay had not been returned to the Dominion and what if Kira had been
unaware of her existence? He was already being drawn toward Lacus and probably the same end would have resulted between the second couple.
Fllay got to see first hand the hell that Kira had endured during her whole time with ZAFT. Kira and Fllay did hurt each other in that relationship, and as much as it pains me to say this, i believe that there is blame on both sides. A greater burden on Fllay's, but that is neither here nor there. Bottom line, it didn't work out and the threads of destiny pulled these two in other directions.

i HATE lacus clyne with all my being because she's too goody-goody,girly,perfect and all.she's so fragile-looking ang trying hard to look tough. true,flay is a bitch,only in the beginning. she only threatened to hurt lacus because she wanted to save her father. and don't you think that flay's character was treated very unfair? she died without kira knowing her feelings. (duh,,the "vision" there was only a trick made to make the viewers know the feelings she had for kira that he didn't and will never know)okay,so lacus is kind,nice,pretty and all,i understand how she has made the story complete, but you flay haters dunno how to appreciate a character's traits when they made a bigger impact.

I found her to be quite annoying while she act like some kind of an innconce retard in the beginning. However she appear to be more mature so I'm okey with her. I neither like or hate this character but I think it quite boring in the fact that she's a perfect princess.
