Meer Campbell was an instrument to pull opinion votes in Chairman Dullindal's rule. Originally small eyed, freckled, and brownish-grey haired, Meer was picked by Dullindal during a singing audition because she sounded exactly like Lacus Clyne. After going through cosmetic surgery, Meer became a splitting image of her pink-haired idol.
Meer then proceeded to disparage Lacus' sanitized image by remixing her songs and performing in sexy outfits on funky pink gundams. She also got herself a red English speaking Haro mascot, which bounces along with her bouncing bosom during her concerts.
All the attention Meer received in Lacus' name soon got into her not-very-bright-brain-to-begin-with and she soon started showing schizophrenic symptoms, believing herself to really be Lacus Clyne, believing herself to be war hero, Athrun Zala's fiancee and gleefully molesting him whenever she gets the chance.
Her glamorous days parading as Lacus Clyne soon came to an end when Lacus finally appeared on international TV calling Meer a fake. Meer Campbell was then sent to hiding on the Moon with Dullindal's subordinate, Sarah. Doing nothing much except suntanning in her sexy bikini and moping her predicament, Meer became convinced that she was indeed Lacus Clyne and agreed to Sarah's plan to trap the 'fake' Lacus.
For some weird reason, Lacus decided to walk into the obvious trap, putting her safety bets on fellow coordinators, Kira Yamato, Athrun Zala and Meyrin Hawke's abilities. Upon seeing the real Lacus Clyne, Meer snapped and pointed a gun at her (which was deflected by the very cool Athrun).
During the gunfight which proceeded between Sarah's hitmen and mainly Athrun Zala, Lacus managed to somehow yank Meer's sanity back by giving wholesome speeches. Unfortunately, when Sarah tried to shoot Lacus, Meer took the bullet for her, spun 2 rounds, fell prettily to the ground and died.

I really hate Meer from the 1st place she revealed herself as Lacus Clyne. Well not to mention when she sneak into Athrun's bed and sleep there. She doesn't know anything from Lacus except when she see her sing so beautiful than her (as the fake).
