First Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye is Colonel Roy Mustang's adjutant. She has the longest crush on Roy for ages, which is the main reason she joined the military and hung around him, and she would lay down her life for Mustang (together with the ten thousand fan girls).
Riza Hawkeye has a no-nonsense attitude. Although she is the only female among Roy Mustang's subordinates, she is the most serious and one of the more capable officer. She is supposedly an expert shooter but in the anime, have failed to demonstrate her abilities, not living up to the reputation of 'having the eyes of a hawk'. She has more 'screentime' in the manga though, attracting even the ruthless killer 'Barry the Chopper'.
