In the Full Metal Alchemist anime, Lust, the beautiful homunculus was born from the failed human transmutation by Scar's elder brother in Ishbal. When she was a human, she was a woman whom Scar's brother loved dearly. After she died, Scar's brother took up alchemy to learn to revive her and in the process became a philosopher's stone.

The remains of the failed human transmutation by Scar's brother was adopted by Dante, who named her Lust, as a representation of 'lust' of the Seven Sins. She worked for Dante to manipulate and spy on the Elric brothers in the mission to create the philosopher's stone.

Lust was the only homunculus who questioned her identity when she met Scar who knew her past, and she was also the 1st to betray Dante. She has a strong bond with Gluttony, who sort of went into depression after Lust died. Her weakness and also the remaining body part of the human who was her was a lock of her hair which was kept by Scar. She was later killed by Wrath.

In the manga, Lust was also the 1st homunculus to die and she was killed by Roy Mustang after he blasted her repeatedly with his flame alchemy.
