History Background:
Before Happy was born, he was sent to Earth along with other Exceed eggs, to escape a disaster in Edolas. Natsu found Happy’s egg in the forest of Magnolia Town and Natsu took it back to the guild to raise and take care of it until it hatches. A blue cat with tiny wings on his back popped out of Happy’s egg the day it hatched. Lisanna suggested to Natsu to name the little cat as Happy when she noticed the tense atmosphere of the guild to a light happy atmosphere when Happy hatched. Natsu sees Happy as a dragon even though everyone told him that Happy’s a cat.

Personality:
Happy is just how his name describes him as. He is an ‘egg-full’ of joyfulness, and loyal to his teammates and guild members, especially Natsu. Happy has an incredible knowledge of the Magic World and might know more than anyone in the guild. The blue cat is bright, sharp and mischievous, especially to Lucy Heartfilia. Happy has developed a crush on another Exceed, named Carla.

Happy’s catch phrase since he was born is “Aye!”, an adorable phrase to indicate his cheerfulness and agreement. Despite his small physique and cute looks, Happy has a dark nature, usually when remarking on the disturbing traits of magic of his comrades. The furball is surely to put a smile on your face and making you squeal at the sight of his kawaii appearance.
